Dan is Manager of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home and has been an associate since 1982. He is a graduate of Johnson County High School and Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta, Georgia. Dan is a member of Theta Chapter of PI SIGMA ETTA Fraternity and Taylorsville Masonic Lodge #243 F&AM. He is also Vice President of Johnson County Optimist Club, former President of the Upper East Tennessee Funeral Directors Association, former member of Mountain City Rotary Club and a former member of the Mountain City Fire Department. Dan is married to Tina McQueen Lipford of Shady Valley, Tennessee. Tina is employed by the Johnson County School System as bookkeeper for Johnson County High School. Dan and Tina are members of First Christian Church of Mountain City. They have three children: Julia Lipford, Matthew Lipford and Koty Campbell.

Scott has been an associate since 2002. A native of Carter County, he graduated from Happy Valley High School before going to New Mexico State University on a baseball scholarship. He is a former United States Marine. Scott and his wife, Beverly Dugger Teague, reside in Mountain City, Tennessee. Scott is the 2007-2008 President of the Mountain City Rotary Club. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Heritage Hall Theatre. He attends the First Christian Church of Mountain City.

Howard is a native of Johnson County and a graduate of Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, GA. He is a licensed funeral director and embalmer and also serves as location manager of Henson Funeral Home. Howard is married to Linda Treadway Morefield, and has two children, Donna Morefield Fritts and Eric Morefield and one granddaughter, Makayla Fritts. Howard is a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Mountain City and is very active in church and community functions.

Belinda Reece, Administrative Assistant, has been an associate since 2007. She is a graduate of Johnson County High School, attended East Tennessee State University and graduated from Morristown Community College where she was Student of the Year. Belinda is a member of the Johnson County Optimist Club and Positive Thinkers. She is married to Tom Reece and they have two children, Brad Reece and Stacey Reece, and three grandsons, Gabe, Gavin and Graham Reece. Belinda and Tom reside in Mountain City and are members of Mountain City Church of Christ.

Ralph is a native of Johnson County. He is a graduate of Johnson County High School and has been an associate of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home for thirty years. Ralph is a member of Little Doe Baptist Church. He has two children, Danny and Brenda.

Doug has been an associate of Hux-Lipford and Henson Funeral Homes since 2005. He is a native of Big Stone Gap, Virginia and lived in Johnson City, Tennessee for several years before moving to Johnson County in 1983. He was employed by Food Country from 1983 until his retirement in 2001. Doug is a Baptist Minister and is Pastor at New Hope Baptist Church of Mountain City, Tennessee. He and his wife, Ann, have three children: Teresa Blevins, Jeffrey Stidham, and Lori Stidham (deceased). They also have six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Brandon has been an associate since 2004. He is a 2003 graduate of Johnson County High School and currently enrolled as a student at Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta, Georgia. He is the son of Johnny W. Roberts, Trade, Tennessee and Sheelah Porter, Elizabethton, Tennessee. His grandparents are: Edward and Joann Porter of Shady Valley, Tennessee. Brandon is a native of Trade, Tennessee, where he lived until 2004, when he moved to Shady Valley, Tennessee. He is associated with Victory Baptist Church of Shady Valley.

James has been an associate since March 2006. He is a Johnson County native and a graduate of Johnson County High School. He is a U. S. Army veteran having spent two and one half years in Germany. James is married to Janet Pardue Harper and they reside in Mountain City. They are members of First Christian Church in Mountain City. James is a twenty-five year member of the Masonic Lodge #242 F. & A.M. and his hobby is woodworking.

Laura, Preneed Counselor for Hux-Lipford and Henson Funeral Homes, has been an associate since 2007. She is married to David Hollaway and they have three children: Danielle Hollaway, Kayla Potter, and Jonathan Potter who is currently serving in the U.S. Army’s 3rd Infantry Division in Bagdad. Laura is a graduate of Johnson County High School and graduated from Virginia Highlands Community College with honors. Her hobbies include fishing, hunting, and spending time with her family. Laura and her family reside in Mountain City, Tennessee.
